The City of Edmond announces the hiring of a new fire chief Wednesday afternoon.
Doug Hall will take over the position. Hall has served as the Interim Fire Chief since August 2014.
Former Fire Chief Jake Rhoades, resigned in August of 2014 after being investigated for creating a hostile work environment and corruption.

Hall has held several position during his 25 years of experience serving the Edmond Fire Department.
“It is a true honor and privilege to be selected to represent the Edmond Fire Department as Fire Chief,” said Hall. “I look forward to leading and supporting the members of this department while working hand-in-hand with City leadership to provide Trustworthy Service for our citizens.”
