Norman Walmart Evacuated After Bomb Threat

The Norman Police Department, Norman Fire Department, and EMS responded to a reported bomb threat at a local Walmart, Saturday morning.

The Norman Police Department, Norman Fire Department, and EMS responded to a reported bomb threat at a local Walmart, Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 9:40 a.m., at the 601 12th Ave. NE Walmart, when an associate received the threat. 

The store was evacuated.

Officers from the Norman/OU Police Department's Hazardous Device Unit responded to the scene and there was no device found. The store was cleared to re-open.
