Reggie Jackson's agent has asked Thunder management to trade the fourth-year guard sources told Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.
Jackson has one more year remaining on his Thunder contract at $3.4 million. He's produced 12.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game this season, all career highs. The Boston College product scored in double figures in each of his first 16 games.
But since the return of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook plus the addition of Dion Waiters, Jackson has seen a significant drop in playing time and effectiveness. Since mid-January, Jackson, who was expected to be OKC's sixth-man, has chipped in just 7.2 points-per-game.
Asked Wednesday about his desire to play for the Thunder, Jackson said “I just want to play basketball.”
The NBA trade deadline is Thursday at 2 p.m. Central.
