Officials are investigating a fire that broke out at a southwest Oklahoma City duplex overnight.

Firefighters were called out to the scene in the 3300 block of SW 27th St. sometime after midnight.

According to fire investigators, neighbors living in the adjacent duplex said that two men living in the part of the duplex that caught fire had moved out just hours before the fire started.

Those neighbors were able to safely escape and were treated and released at the scene for smoke inhalation.

Firefighters on scene noted that two electrical boxes in the unit had been pulled and capped, but the unit still had electricity that was being supplied by an adjacent home.

Right now there is no cause for the fire and officials are still investigating. Firefighters told News 9 they had a hard time getting to the home because of its location on a dead end street.
