Wilkerson, Lee Headline All-SAC Teams For St. Gregory's

St. Gregory's Marty Wilkerson and Staci Lee headlined the All-Sooner Athletic Conference teams announced Tuesday. Wilkerson, who earned first-team honors for the second-straight year, leads the Cavaliers with a 20.9 point-per-game average. For the women, Lee has been named third-team All-Sooner Athletic Conference for the second consecutive season. She leads the Cavaliers with a 14.9 point-per-game average.

Wilkerson's scoring average ranks second in the SAC and eighth nationally. His 4.6 assists per contest are seventh in the conference and 20th in the NAIA. Wilkerson has scored 20 points or more in 16 games this season.

Teammate Jaron Vierra was named third-team all-conference. The Georgetown, Texas, native is second on the team with 10.4 points per contest and leads the Cavs with 7.2 rebounds per game. Vierra's five double-doubles this season are also tops on the team.

St. Gregory's men's team will face SAGU (Texas) in the quarterfinals of the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament Thursday. Game time is set for 9:45 p.m. at Abe Lemons Arena in Oklahoma City.

Lee's scoring mark ranks fifth in the SAC among women, while her 4.2 assists per contest are tops on the team and fourth in the conference. She has 16 games of 14 points or more this season – including a career-high 32 against USAO last Saturday.

Teammate Denisha Lundy was named All-SAC honorable mention. Lundy is second on the squad with 14.4 points per contest. In 18 games this season, Lundy scored 15 or more points on 12 occasions.

St. Gregory's opens postseason play Wednesday at Abe Lemons Arena in Oklahoma City. The Cavs will square off with Texas Wesleyan at 1 p.m. in the first round.
