Police have identified a man who died after being found beaten and freezing in a northwest Oklahoma City alley over the weekend.
An Oklahoma City resident discovered 27-year-old Brandon Rogers Jr. beaten and clinging to life without a coat, lying in the snow behind their home in the 6800 block of Lyrewood Lv., near Wilshire Ave., early Sunday morning.
Investigators are not sure how long Rogers had been lying there, but believe a fight took place because they found atrial of blood leading to the street. Rogers was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An official cause of death has not been determined. Police are still not sure if Rogers died from hypothermia or from injuries suffered in the assault.
The case is still under investigation.
Rogers' family has set up an account to help with funeral costs and other expenses. Donations should be made in care of Brandon M. Rogers Jr. by Shawna G. Agne Rep Payee at Chase Bank.
