Accident Injures Four, Temporarily Shuts Down Stretch Of Kilpatrick Turnpike

Four people are in the hospital after an accident Sunday evening on the Kilpatrick Turnpike in northwest Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The accident happened about 6:20 p.m. Sunday on the southbound lanes of the turnpike near State Highway 66. Two vehicles crashed with one flipping over onto its roof.

One person was ejected from one of the vehicles. The injuries of the four people ranged from minor to critical injuries, troopers said.

The southbound traffic was being diverted at the Wilshire Boulevard exit.
