Traffic Tracker: ODOT Construction Projects & Work Zones Around The Metro

The following are ODOT work zones on main metro thoroughfares.

US-77 (Broadway) narrowed, lanes shift at 33rd St. in Edmond, expect congestion
*  The left lane of northbound US-77/Broadway just south of 33rd St. and the left turn lane to westbound 33rd St. also is closed.

*  The left lane of southbound US-77/Broadway in Edmond is closed from Broadway Court to just south of 33rd St. for widening and resurfacing of the intersection. 
*  Additionally, the middle lane of westbound 33rd St. is closed at the intersection through September.
Drivers can expect lane closures and lane shifts at 33rd St. and US-77/Broadway through summer 2016. At least two lanes of northbound and southbound US-77/Broadway will remain open and at least one lane of eastbound and westbound 33rd St. will remain open throughout the project. Motorists are advised to plan for delays and find an alternate route when possible. 

I-240 narrows near I-44 tonight
Drivers can expect intermittent lane closures on westbound I-240 just east of I-44 (near Western Ave.) from 7 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday for traffic device repairs. 

I-35 on-ramp closes, lanes narrow near N.E. 50th St. tomorrow
The southbound I-35 on-ramp from N.E. 50th St will be closed and the right lane of southbound I-35 will be closed between N.E. 50th and N.E. 36th St. from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday for guardrail repairs.

I-44 narrowed on Belle Isle bridge near Penn. Ave.
The left lane of eastbound I-44 is closed between Penn Ave. and Western Ave. through September and westbound Northwest Expressway is narrowed at I-44 through until the holidays for on-going bridge work on Belle Isle. Two lanes will remain open.
•All lanes of westbound I-44 are open.
•The eastbound I-44 on-ramp from Northwest Expressway remains closed.
•Drivers are strongly encouraged to locate an alternate route during this time such as I-40 or I-240 to I-235 or I-35 or expect major delays during rush hour.
•Crews are expediting the work, aiming to have it open before the holidays, pending any other issues discovered.

SH-9 speed limit reduced at 36th Ave. S.E. in Norman
Drivers can expect reduced speed limit and workers and equipment near the roadway on SH-9 between 36th Ave. S.E. and 48th Ave. S.E. in Norman through 2016 for highway reconstruction work. This is part of a project to widen SH-9 to four lanes between 36th Ave. and 72nd Ave. and reconstruct the bridge at Dave Blue Creek.
