The Oklahoma City Thunder will bring the Thunder experience to Guymon this Friday, Oct. 2. Thunder entertainers will be part of the game-night action as the Guymon Tigers host the Carl Albert Titans.

“Every corner of our state has embraced the Thunder, and we’ve enjoyed tremendous support from fans throughout the Oklahoma Panhandle,” said Brian Byrnes, Thunder senior vice president of Sales and Marketing. “We’ve been proud to welcome many fans from Guymon to Chesapeake Energy Arena for Thunder games, including the Guymon Fire Department, who has presented the colors at several games over the years. We are excited to make the trip out to Guymon and thank some of our local fans in person for their loyal support for our team.”

Prior to the football game, the OG&E ThunderBolt, a traveling interactive vehicle featuring multiple displays and games, will be open outside the Guymon High School stadium for fans to enjoy starting at 4:30 p.m. Throughout the afternoon, Thunder mascot Rumble the Bison and the Thunder Girls dance team will make appearances at the ThunderBolt to meet fans and take photos. During the game, Rumble will take part in the opening coin toss, and Thunder entertainers will be on hand for a T-shirt toss.

Throughout the course of the day, Thunder staff and entertainers will be taking part in additional events around town, including school appearances, a reading event and visits with community groups.
