16th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship

Did you think carrying your wife over the threshold would be the last time? Well, it isn't for these men!

Thirty couples in Florida, South Carolina, and Colorado met up in Maine to participate in the 16th Annual North American Wife Carrying Championship.

Every year, up to 50 couples compete in the contest. The competition involves a 278-yard obstacle course up grassy slopes.

The winner gets their weight in beer and five times their weight in cash.
