News 9 heard from the father of the woman accused of driving into the crowd at the homecoming parade in Stillwater.

Adacia Chambers, 25, is accused of driving under the influence.

Her father told News 9, nobody is more shocked than he is that his daughter allegedly caused this tragedy.

"She's not a bad person, she's not an alcoholic. She doesn't drink and she wasn't drinking to my knowledge. She wasn't drinking," said Floyd Chambers, Adacia's father. "She's a good person. This is just a tragic thing that happened. I don't know why it happened."

He also said to his knowledge, his daughter hadn't been taking prescription pills.

The father said his thoughts and prayers go to the families of the victims.

He also said a defense attorney has been hired and is going to speak with Adacia Saturday night in Stillwater.
