Oklahoma City Police arrested a man for the death of a woman whose body was found Sunday in a Southwest Oklahoma City street.
Police say 25-year-old Mike Griffith used a vehicle to kill 23-year-old Sydney Lemons.
A passing motorist found Lemons’ body early Sunday morning on South Pennsylvania Avenue and Shadowlake Drive.
Police say they’ve tied Griffith to the vehicle used in the hit and run murder. Just hours after the discovery of Lemons’ body, Griffith posted photos of him and the victim on his Facebook page.
“We’re still collecting some evidence and putting some pieces together,” said Sgt. Ashley Peters. “But we know that Mr. Griffith was in some shape or form involved in a relationship with Ms. Lemons.”
Police arrested Griffith for First-Degree Murder. Peters said they took him into custody around 1 p.m. Wednesday.
