A man in is expected to survive after he was shot in the head Monday night in Shawnee.
We now know an argument over an apartment unfolded before that victim was shot in the head, and a suspect is in custody.
Shawnee police told News 9 that the victim had been kicked out of an apartment, and was hit by a shot that was fired through the door as he tried to get back inside.
All this took place just after 7 p.m. on the 600 block of N. Broadway, and that's where police will continue their investigation.
"Basically what I can tell you now is he was shot in the head, a single shot with a small caliber weapon and it was over an argument," said Dan Shumaker with Shawnee Police.
The victim's current condition is unknown at this time.
