This may be hard to believe, but at one point, Oklahoma's own Reba McEntire might not have been the superstar she is now.

Reba said she almost never went to record her debut album. In the spring of 1975, Reba said she and her mom were on their way to Nashville. She had just been discovered right here in Oklahoma City, and she was about to turn the car around if it wasn't for momma.

"And I kept wanting to stop, everywhere you can stop. I don't care if it was to get something to drink, use the bathroom, let's go eat, and momma finally said, 'If you don't want to go to Nashville and do this I totally understand. We'll turn around and go home.' She said, 'But if you do this I’ll be living all my dream through you.' I said, 'Well why didn’t you say that in the first place. Let's go, get in the car.' Because it meant more to me to do it for her then it did for me. And so all this time you know I share it with momma," Reba said.

As for what Reba what's to do next, she's mentioned a possible tour and she does want to have a show on Netflix and go back on Broadway.
