Members from a national campaign aimed at getting more women in US board rooms are hosting a forum at Oklahoma City University (OCU) on Nov. 19.

The 20-percent by 2020 campaign, along with local women business executives, will host the forum at the Meinders School of Business at OCU, in the Gardner Conference Room, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19.

The 2020 Women on Boards campaign was launched in December 2010. They host the annual event in cities around the country in an effort to raise the percentage of women on US company boards by 20-percent or greater by the year 2020. Women represent approximately 17.7 percent of boards in 2015.

This is the first time the event has come to Oklahoma.
