The second round of the College Football Playoff rankings came out on Tuesday and neither Oklahoma school can be happy with the results.
Oklahoma State, ranked No. 5 in the AP Poll, came in at No. 8. The Cowboys (9-0, 6-0) blew out previously unbeaten TCU 49-29 on Saturday in Stillwater. OU (8-1, 5-1) cruised past Iowa State on Saturday and came in at No. 12 in this week's rankings.
OSU rose from 14th last week, while OU climbed three spots from 15th.
The committee's top four, in order, was Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame. Alabama and Notre Dame have each lost a game. Also ahead of OSU was No. 5 Iowa, No. 6 Baylor and No. 7 Stanford.
