The Thunder (5-3) cruised past the Wizards (3-4) on Tuesday 125-101. Here's what you need to know from the matchup.

  • Kevin Durant's return to D.C. was perhaps more hyped-up than usual. With Durant's contract is up after the season, Tuesday's game was Wizards' fans final opportunity to woo the Thunder star into returning to his hometown team. However, the fans didn't get as much time with KD as they might have hoped. Durant left the game at halftime with a hamstring issue and didn't return.
  • KD scored 14 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out four assists. Without the injury, he would have flirted with a triple-double.
  • Russell Westbrook dropped 22 points and 11 assists, but was somehow the Thunder's third-leading scorer. Serge Ibaka finished with a season-high 23 points and Dion Waiters poured in 25 points on 7 of 10 shooting.
  • The Wizards played without Nene and Bradley Beal. No Wizard scored more than 15 points.
  • Oklahoma City had 13 players score, including rookie Cameron Payne, who scored his first two NBA points.
  • OKC shot a blistering 65.2 percent (15-23) from 3-point range. If you factor out Anthony Morrow's 0 for 3 performance, the Thunder shot 75 percent.
  • The blowout win allowed for a bit of a break for the Thunder's top guys. Ibaka was the only guy to play 30 minutes.
