One Arrested For Stabbing Roommate At OKC Apartment

A man is in the hospital after he was stabbed several times at an Oklahoma City apartment. His roommate is now in police custody.

Oklahoma City police said instead of calling 911 after he was stabbed, the victim called a friend. That friend picked him up from the Quail Ridge Apartments near Memorial and May where the stabbing occurred.

The friend drove the victim to a parking lot of a strip mall across Quail Springs Mall and then called 911.

EMSA rushed the man to a hospital. We learned he was stabbed twice in the chest but is expected to survive.

As that was happening, police were back at the Quail Ridge Apartments talking to witnesses and collecting evidence.  Police said the stabbing happened as a result of an argument between the victim and his roommate.

Police took the roommate into custody. They are not questioning anyone else at this time.

Police have not identified anyone involved.
