4.7 Magnitude Oklahoma Earthquake Caught On Camera

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake that shook many Oklahomans awake early Thursday morning was caught on surveillance cameras at a store near the epicenter.

The earthquake was recorded at 1:42 a.m., eight miles southwest of Cherokee and 36 miles west, northwest of Enid. It was about four miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. 

News 9 viewers from across the state, including those in the Oklahoma City metro, Tulsa, and more, reported feeling this earthquake. In addition, many residents in surrounding states, including Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, reported feeling the quake as well. 

Surveillance cameras at a convenience store located near the epicenter captured this earthquake that knocked merchandise off the shelves. 

This earthquake was just one of multiple tremors that shook the state Thursday morning. So far, we have not received any reports of injuries or damage.
