Oklahoma City Fire Department divers took an icy dip to help an officer save a driver trapped in a submerged car early Sunday morning.

The incident occurred around 1 a.m., when authorities say a car went into a creek near 47th and Tinker Rd.

According to the report, an Oklahoma City Police officer was first to arrive on scene and was able to free the victim. The victim was still seat belted in the vehicle and underwater.

Crews from the OKCFD arrived shortly after and deployed ropes to assist the officer and the victim out of the water.

Crews began CPR and the victim was transported to a local hospital in an unknown condition.

Divers continued to search the vehicle and found no other victims.
