OKC Police Searching For Suspects After Couple Ambushed, Robbed At Gunpoint

A man and his wife are ambushed, robbed and pistol whipped right in their own front yard. The two suspects took off running, prompting a manhunt in a northeast Oklahoma City neighborhood.

Oklahoma City Police, the K-9 unit, and OHP helicopter were all searching the neighborhood near 71^st and Kelly Tuesday night, for the two masked suspects.

The man and his wife asked News 9 not to identify them but told a frightening story. It was around 10 p.m. Tuesday, when they had just arrived home.

“(We) pulled in the driveway and two guys came out from the side of the house and had guns and ordered my wife down on the ground,” explained the man.

“That’s when they came out of nowhere and was like get down, get down,” added his wife.

The robbers then took her purse that had deposits from their three businesses, phones, and all her jewelry including her wedding ring.

“I’m like really, this is what you all are doing? You’re doing this? It’s Christmas time,” she said.

The two suspects, described as a black man and a white man with bandanas over their face wearing black hoodies, even stole his clothes.

“Stripped me naked, had to take my pants and clothes off, took my shoes, and my clothes,” he said.

Then the robbers pistol whipped him, leaving him with two stitches and bump on the head and a couple loose teeth.

“I was going to fight but when they had my wife down I tried to do what they wanted me to do and I did that,” he explained. “So there was no reason for them to start pistol whipping me.”

When it was all over, the suspects took off running through the couple's back yard. They remain at large.
