Free ice storm debris collection in Oklahoma City neighborhoods starts on Monday. Residents can put tree limbs and branches on the curb.

Almost every neighborhood in the metro has piles of tree branches and limbs from last month's ice storm. There is so much debris, the City is bringing in outside contractors

On Thanksgiving weekend, our state was hit with an ice storm which covered trees and  power lines. Decades-old trees snapped in half.

The city wants the limbs cut into segments shorter than 12 feet long. They should be stacked away from poles, mailboxes, cars, trees, power lines, water and gas meters. These should also be separated from bulk waste pickup

The city is asking for patience. Crews will make one pass through all the city streets and expect that to take 30 days.

Crews will break for about 10 days then do a second pass, so expect to see piles for several weeks.
