A chase started in one town and ended up in another. It went on for quite a while until an officer spun the car out, and took the driver into custody.

Police said James Hartline was behind the wheel of the SUV. Alex police, Grady County deputies, and Chickasha police all trailed behind.

An Alex officer tried to pull Hartline’s vehicle over in a neighboring town some 20 miles away. When Hartline drove out of city limits, county deputies joined the chase. It ended up on the outskirts of Chickasha.

Hartline wasn’t traveling very fast. He was running on a rim with sparks flying.

An officer, whose dash cam was rolling, took out Hartline’s car and ended the two-town chase.

The officer was staked out in a parking lot. He said Hartline drove by and pointed his hand out of the window in a gun gesture.

Police said that wasn't caught on camera, but the next one was. The officer sped up and passed other officers.

Hartline made a left turn as his rim sparked.

Once again, Hartline stuck his hand out of the window as if he was pointing a gun. That’s when the officer waited for an oncoming driver to pull off the road before speeding up more to move in on Hartline.

Then, the officer rear ended Hartline’s vehicle.

Hartline spun off the road and the chase was finally over.

Hartline took off running, but officers caught him. He was booked in jail and is now facing several charges.
