If you're planning to ring in 2016 in downtown Oklahoma City, you'll want to plan ahead.

Opening Night festivities and a Thunder game are just a few things happening on New Year’s Eve in downtown. Opening Night festivities start at 7 p.m. at Bicentennial Park, and every year, that event alone can draw an estimated 80,000 people.

Wristbands are available for purchase at 7-Eleven stores, metro Homeland Stores, MidFirst Bank locations, and the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.  On the night of the event, you may purchase wristbands at sales locations across the event. Wristbands are $8 in advance, $10 the night of the event.

The Thunder also tips off at 7 p.m. So you can bet downtown OKC will be packed to say the least.

Here are some suggestions for parking Thursday evening.
