Emergency crews were on the scene of a double fatality crash involving three vehicles in rural Pottawatomie County, Friday evening. OHP says this was a case of inattention.

According to OHP, two vehicles were eastbound on SH-9 when one slowed to make a left hand turn onto a county road. That vehicle driven by 21-year-old Amanda Miner was struck from behind, forcing her into oncoming traffic causing a collision with one another vehicle. Miner and her 13-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The two other drivers were injured but refused treatment at the scene.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Troopers, along with deputies from the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department, shut down State Highway 9 and Chambers Rd. while crews worked the scene.

GoFundMe account has been set up for the family of Amanda Miner.
