Hubert, a 4-year-old male lion at the Oklahoma City Zoo, underwent a wellness exam Monday morning.

News 9 Photojournalist Jobe McAdams was there and spoke with several zoo visitors who got to witness the exam.

Tulsa Police Recover Stolen Pickup Truck After Chase

News On 6 Tulsa police recovered a stolen pickup truck after a chase near Apache and Peoria late on Wednesday night. According to police, officers ran the tag on a truck at a nearby QuikTrip. Once officers determined that the vehicle was stolen, the driver fled from the scene and would not stop for officers. Police later found the truck parked in a driveway, but the driver was gone. The vehicle has been towed and no arrests were made.

Associated Press WASHINGTON (AP) — The number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits tumbled last week to 576,000, a post-COVID low and a hopeful sign that layoffs are easing as the economy recovers from the pandemic recession. The Labor Department said Thursday that applications plummeted by 193,000 from a revised 769,000 a week earlier. Jobless claims are now down sharply from a peak of 900,000 in early January. News On 6 Tulsa police say a driver is uninjured after a crashing into a carport near 48th and Peoria on Thursday morning. According to police, the driver was going around a curve when she lost control and went through one of the walls of the carport around 2:15 a.m. Police say there was some damage left behind and no one was injured.
