Woman, Dog Escape House Fire In Yukon

Firefighters successfully doused a house fire in Yukon, early Wednesday morning.

Crews were called out to the scene of the home, located in the 800 block of Willow Run, around 1 a.m.

Authorities tell News 9 a woman inside the home smelled smoke and discovered the fire in her garage before she called for help. Crews worked fast and were able to contain the fire to the garage.

The woman and her dog both made it out of the home safely. The cause of the fire and a preliminary damage estimate is not known at this time.
