A 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported Sunday afternoon in northwest Oklahoma, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake happened shortly after 4:50 p.m. Its epicenter was about eight miles southwest of Cherokee, 35 miles west, northwest of Enid and 96 miles north, northwest of Oklahoma City.
The earthquake was less than seven and a half miles deep.
No immediate reports of damage or injury were reported.
