Crews managed to get a handle on a grass fire in northeast Oklahoma City, Monday evening.
Firefighters were called out to the scene near E. Hefner Rd. and N. Kelley Ave., just after 4:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Winds were blowing the flames in a southeastern direction, toward Oklahoma Centennial Mid-High School. Firefighters were able to get in front of the fire and get it under control before it caused any damage.
