OU Women: Sooners Rally In Second Half To Beat WVU

Peyton Little scored all of her 23 points in the second half and No. 21 Oklahoma rallied to beat No. 24 West Virginia 57-54 Wednesday night.

The Sooners (14-5, 5-3 Big 12) trailed 32-20 at the half and took the lead for good at 44-42 on Gabbi Ortiz's layup with 18 seconds left in the third quarter.

Little's layup pushed the lead to 51-44, capping a 13-2 run that spanned both quarters. Gioya Carter finished with 12 points.

West Virginia (16-5, 5-3) closed within 56-53 in the final minute. But Teana Muldrow missed a 3 that would have tied it with 27 seconds left. Jessica Morton made 1 of 2 free throws nine seconds later, Little made 1 of 2 foul shots to answer, and Morton missed a shot in the final seconds.

Muldrow led the Mountaineers with 16 points. Bria Holmes scored 12 and Morton and Tynice Martin added 10 each.
