An Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) trooper, injured in a crash on Interstate 40 in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, has been released from the hospital.
Jason Richardson, a 16-year veteran with the OHP, suffered leg, head, and internal injuries when he was hit by another vehicle on I-40 near Shawnee.
According to the OHP, Richardson was working several crashes and spin-outs due to freezing fog that caused slick spots. Suddenly, another vehicle crashed into Richardson as he stood by his patrol car.
Thursday morning, OU Medical Center confirmed with News 9 that Richardson has been discharged from the hospital.
