In retrospect, I'd say I was both right and wrong last week about Donald Trump skipping the Iowa debate. I called it a huge mistake and thought it would hurt him with undecided Iowa voters, and it looks like it did, he's even admitted it was a mistake.
But I was wrong that the other candidates would focus much of their fire in the debate on his absence, it was actually pretty tame.
Then after his 2nd place finish in Iowa, I actually thought Trump came off as his most presidential yet. He was upbeat in his speech, extremely gracious to his Iowa supporters and congratulatory toward winner Ted Cruz.
Well, 36 hours later, my how Trump has changed his tune.
Trump believes Cruz cheated by suggesting on the day of the Iowa Caucuses that Dr. Ben Carson was suspending his campaign after CNN reported Carson was going home to catch his breath and get a change of clothes.
Wednesday Trump tweeted: "Based on the fraud committed by Senator Ted Cruz during the Iowa Caucus, either a new election should take place or Cruz results nullified."
It's not going to happen of course. And my new prediction is that Marco Rubio will be the one to benefit from all this new Trump-Cruz sniping as they head to New Hampshire.
I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
