A suspect is in custody after leading authorities on a chase and crashing into the gate of Casady School in The Village. Witnesses say he was hearing voices prior to the chase and had been acting strangely, Friday morning.

Security camera footage from Sunset Storage near N.W. 116th and Western shows the suspect, 45-year-old Bradley Belsheim of Oklahoma City, driving in circles around the storage lot just after 7:15 a.m. At one point he parks his truck and begins checking other trailers on the property by pulling on their door handles.

Belsheim owns several trailers and a boat that use space at the storage facility. Sunset’s manager, who asked not to be identified, said he had to escort Belsheim off the property earlier this week after he began saying strange things about wanting other trailers on the lot and that he had been hearing the voice of a woman behind the lot’s back fence.

Lot monitor Steve Bruner said he called police after getting reports of Belsheim acting oddly.

“When I got here he had drove his truck through the fence and through the field and for some reason which direction he went I don't know,” Bruner said.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, authorities originally responded to the report of a burglary. When Oklahoma City police officers arrived at the scene, Belsheim reportedly ran over the fence with his vehicle and drove away. That's when the chase began.

At some point during the pursuit, Belsheim drove to Casady School. A school resource officer spotted the suspect vehicle and tried to pull him over. That's when the suspect reportedly crashed into the gate at the school. There is damage to the gate. No one at the school was injured, school officials said.

The suspect then took off again, going north on Western towards N.W. 116th. He eventually crashed into a field at Western and N.W. 116th and was taken into custody.

A Casady school spokesperson released the following statement regarding the incident:

"This morning, Casady's grounds and maintenance crew along with our Oklahoma County Sheriff's Deputy Resource Officer immediately identified a suspicious vehicle on campus. As Sheriff’s Deputy Resource Officer Justin Dang approached the vehicle, the vehicle sped away, and Deputy Dang pursued him off campus. Casady's security procedures operated exactly as they should and at no time were any children in danger.”

Belsheim is facing complaints of DUI, reckless driving, obstruction of private property, hit and run on a private property, and eluding police.
