Reynolds had been the defensive line coach at OU for only one season after previously holding the position at Stanford for one year. Reynolds spent the six years before that on the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff. 

Oklahoma will return a solid group of defensive lineman next season, including Charles Walker, Matt Dimon, Matt Romar and Duvante Lampkin.
