The Oklahoma City Fire Department has planned a full day of fun for a little boy battling cancer, who just happens to be a big fan of fire trucks and firefighters.

According to the fire department, little Jase Bollenbach, 2, has a very rare form of cancer. The cancer is taking a toll on Jase, and he is going through some difficult times.

The crew at Oklahoma City Fire Station 31B learned that Jase is fascinated with fire trucks and firefighters. All Jase wants to be is a firefighter when he grows up.

The firefighters then began planning a very special day for little Jase and his family. Jase will be picked up in a fire truck on Thursday at the Jimmy Everest physicians building at the OU Medical complex. From there, Jase will get to ride in the big, red fire truck to Fire Station 1. There, Jase will meet many more firefighters and get to tour the entire facility. After leaving Fire Station 1, Jase will continue his ride in the fire truck to Fire Station 31 where he will enjoy a special dinner with all of the firefighters from that station.

No ride in a fire truck would be complete without the proper attire. The firefighters at Fire Station 31 said they have purchased some toy bunker gear and a special shirt for the little firefighter to wear during his time as a real firefighter.
