Three In Custody After Police Chase In OKC

Oklahoma City police have three people in custody after a routine traffic stop turned into a high speed chase early Friday morning. 

It happened around 3:30 a.m. near I-40 and Meridian. Police said the driver was speeding and an officer pulled him over. The driver stopped and spoke with police, but then took off. That's when the pursuit began.

The high speed chase continued but ended when the truck crashed in the median of eastbound lanes of I-44 at S.W. 23rd. The driver then ran from the car. AirOne and a K-9 unit were used to find him. He was found in a neighborhood of S.W. 27th and Grand.

All three people involved are now in custody.
