On Monday, March 7, the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) will announce details of a new regional plan addressing earthquake activity in central Oklahoma.
According to OCC officials, the commission’s Oil and Gas Conservation Division is in the final stages of completing the new regional plan, which is is similar to the Western Oklahoma Regional Plan implemented on February 16.
Officials said the plan will encompass an area of over 5,000 square miles and includes more than 400 Arbuckle disposal wells. The plan includes dozens of communities, including Edmond, Luther, Perry, Stillwater, and Pawnee.
Full details of the plan will be announced on Monday, March 7, according to the OCC.
