Formal Charges Filed Against 3 Arrested In Deadly Home Invasion In Cleveland Co.

Formal charges have been filed against three suspects arrested in connection to a deadly home invasion in Cleveland County, Oklahoma.

On Thursday, March 10, 18-year-old Nicholas Bennett Adkins, 17-year-old Bryn Robert Deere and 17-year-old Xavier Deshon Hollins have each been charged with first-degree murder, first-degree burglary, and felony discharging firearm into dwelling, in connection to a home invasion that resulted in the death of 18-year-old Derek Seth Stewart of McAlester.

According to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s office, on February 13, deputies responded to the report of a home invasion in the 1000 block of 192nd Ave. NE. When officers arrived at the scene that night, they learned the crime was committed by multiple suspects including Stewart, who was shot and killed by the homeowner during the incident.
