Teen Dies From Injuries After Leading Edmond Police On Chase

A teen motorcyclist dies from injuries sustained in a crash following an Edmond police chase.

According to Edmond Police, an officer on a motorcycle tried to pull over 17-year-old Tyler Wood, of Luther, for a traffic violation the morning of Thursday, March 10. However, Wood refused to stop and a chase began.

The pursuit ended after Wood crashed into another vehicle at Edmond Road and Kelly. He was transported to OU Medical in very critical condition.

Friday, March 11, a spokesperson from Edmond Police told News 9 Wood died from his injuries.
