People with developmental disabilities spent the day lobbying legislators at the state capitol. It's a desperate fight for these Oklahomans as budget cuts slash at their way of life.

The state is facing a $1.3-billion budget deficit in next year’s budget, while trying to fund services in this year’s budget. That has meant 7-percent across the board cuts to state agencies this year alone. On Monday, dozens of people with developmental disabilities lobbied legislators to stop the cuts.
