Crews Battle Grass Fire Near Newcastle

Fire crews are battling a grass fire near Newcastle, Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out after the fire flared up in a heavily wooded area near NW 32nd St. and N. Council Ave. No homes or structures are being threatened.

Authorities tell News 9 the fire is burning away from homes, and toward a dirt field. There fire crews will be able to put the fire out.
