One Person Detained After NW OKC Pursuit

One person has been detained by police in northwest Oklahoma City after a pursuit, police said.

Police received a call shortly before 9:10 p.m. Sunday of a man trying to break into vehicles in the 200 block of NW 33. 

The man jumped into a white vehicle and drove off, initiating the pursuit. He got out of the vehicle in the 1600 block of Northwest Expressway and ran away from officers, police said.

One person was detained near NW 42 and Georgia, police said.
