OKC Woman Charged With Stabbing Husband Of Two Weeks

A formal charge has been filed against an Oklahoma City woman accused of stabbing her husband just two weeks after they got married.

According to court documents, on Monday, 37-year-old Kirstie Williams was charged with one count of domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

Police said Williams stabbed her husband of two weeks at least two times. The victim was rushed to surgery because one of the stab wounds hit his heart, and he was not initially expected to survive the injury.

Williams reportedly told police that she and the victim had gotten into an argument at a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex over how the victim was treating her. That’s when she stabbed the victim with a knife she found.

Following the stabbing, Williams said she immediately drove the victim to the hospital to get help. She admitted to throwing the knife into some bushes at the hospital parking lot. That knife was later recovered.
