Former Oklahoma State head men’s basketball coach Travis Ford has been hired by St. Louis University to fill the same position, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Ford and OSU parted ways after this last season after the Cowboys went 12-20 and failed to make the NCAA Tournament. Ford was the coach of the Cowboys for eight seasons and finished with a 155-111 record. The Cowboys made five tournament appearances in those eight years but only advanced past the first round once.
Ford has a connection with the state of Missouri, seeing he played one year at the University of Missouri in 1989-90 before transferring to Kentucky.
