Driver Flees Scene After Car Fire In SW OKC

Police are investigating a car fire that took place near S.W. 74th St. and Portland Ave. in Oklahoma City, early Wednesday morning. 

An officer was driving behind the car when it hit a center median, swerved and caught fire. A female, believed to be a passenger in the car, was found in a nearby field after fleeing the scene. She was taken to the hospital and was alert and talking.

The driver also fled the scene and has not been located. Stay with us for updates.
