Firefighters rescued four people via ladder overnight after smoke filled the Boulder Ridge Apartments on the 8500 block of Candlewood Drive in Oklahoma City.

Firefighters extracted the four from a window because of the heavy smoke. A handful of additional people were also evacuated.

According to investigators, the smoke originated from an apartment where food had been left on the stove. There was one person in that apartment at the time but they made it out OK.

No fire was present, just smoke.
