The search continues for three suspects wanted in connection with a metro woman's death.
Alecia Payne's body was found in Nicoma Park last month. Several arrests warrants were issued Tuesday.
Her friends said they feared the worst when Payne missed the birth of a friend's baby, a day she'd been looking forward to for weeks.
When news of a woman's body was released last month, they say they knew it was Payne.
Terresa Grayson and Bonnie Ramsey said they were as close as sisters with Payne.
Payne was known to have her phone glued to her hand so when her friends couldn't get a hold of her they started to worry.
“I knew something was wrong. I knew it,” Grayson said.
Days after going missing, Payne's body was found in a ditch in Nicoma Park.
Beside her body, investigators say was a blanket from the Super 8 Motel off Interstate 35 and SE 39. Grayson and Ramsey said they tipped off investigators about rumors Payne may have been at that hotel with Melissa Evans.
Court records show Payne had been at that hotel for about a week in March with a man named Michael Brown. Investigators say surveillance video from the motel shows Brown and two others removing Payne's lifeless body wrapped in a blanket.
“It hurts because she was so full of life. And she has those girls that need her and she's not here for them. And it wasn't by choice,” Ramsey said.
On Tuesday, the sheriff's department issued arrest warrants for Brown, Shyann Lowery, Melissa Evans, and Jeremy Steelman.
Ramsey and Grayson said Payne knew them from work.
“I know somebody knows something. I know somebody knows where these people live. Like I don't understand what you are scared of,” Grayson said.
Evans is in the Tulsa County jail on a prostitution complaint. Investigators are working to find the other three.
