Woman Hospitalized After Pickup Crashes In Midwest City

A woman was hospitalized Tuesday night after the pickup truck she was riding in departed I-40 eastbound at Town Center Drive in Midwest City.

Police say that Angel Thacker, 38, of Midwest City, grabbed the steering wheel which caused the truck to run off the road and strike a wall. Thacker was taken to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in good condition with head, arm, leg and back injuries.

Police say that the driver, Leslie Bear Runner, 42, was not injured but was driving while intoxicated. Seatbelts were equipped but not in use.
