Two maintenance workers at the Falls Creek Conference Center in Davis, Okla. were killed in a work-related accident on Friday.
According to CBS affiliate KXII, the two workers were at the waste water plant, located on Kay Starr Trail, and were overcome by chlorine or methane gas. A third worker was taken to the hospital, treated and released.
The Murray County Sheriff’s office is investigating. The two victims have been identified as Charles Matlock and Jonathan Wright.
"We are deeply saddened by today's tragic accident," said Brian Hobbs, spokesperson for Falls Creek. "Our top priority is caring for the families affected and our own staff. We ask your prayers for all those impacted by today's events."
