Mike Gundy and Oklahoma State got another graduate transfer defensive back over the weekend in Louisiana-Monroe’s Lenzy Pipkins.
Pipkins will be eligible to play immediately this fall upon enrollment and will help bolster a group of corners that loses Kevin Peterson and Michael Hunter. He’ll likely join junior Darius Curry and Juco transfer Malik Kearse among the experienced reserves. Injury-prone Ashton Lampkin and off-again-on-again Ramon Richards are the projected starters.
The Mansfield, Texas product started 19 games the past two seasons at ULM recording 72 tackles, two sacks and an interception. Pipkins has a solid frame at 6-foot-0, 201 pounds. He's also been exposed to several talented receivers as the Warhawks took on Georgia, Alabama and Tulsa in non-conference play last season.
